The Round Table
written by Jeremy Jagusch
This is a premium show from Live History, allowing venues to combine meals or refreshments with the show, offering an unforgettable experience to participants.
It's one of the most joyous occasions in town; a grand wedding, and you have been invited to a meal with the lucky one headed down the aisle. However, you are irritated to find that the invitation has not only been extended to you, but most of the town; who have been divided over long standing issues for what seems like years. You wouldn't normally attend, but it seems the host needs your assistance. The wedding ring, passed down for generations, has gone missing!
As if that weren't enough, Kay, an eccentric character who used to live in town and was close to the family, has returned for the wedding, and will be at dinner. Kay last lived in town when the disputes started, and will no doubt rehash them in great detail—details no one can remember. If the ring is not found, the wedding cannot proceed—and your fondness of the host will not allow that.
Will you be able to solve the mystery of the ring and allow them to walk down the aisle? Or will old disputes stop the future in it's tracks?
The Audience Experience
The Round Table has escape room and theatre elements. Expect to work with all your fellow audience members and the actors as you try to discover the whereabouts of the missing ring and heal the wounds of past conflicts.
For the majority of the performance, you will be seated around a table with your fellow audience members and the actors. Clues will need to be solved between meal courses, so be sure to arrive with an empty stomach!
Each audience members receives an actual historic persona from the venue's history that they can assume.
The Round Table is a site specific show that takes place in one area of the venue and lasts ~1.5 hours.
As an interactive experience, audience sizes are limited to 10-30 (depending on the venue) so that everyone is able to participate should they wish.
